The Chicago World Music Festival has announced their updated lineup and schedule, which can be seen at their official website and which is totally making me wish I could be there. The CWMF, taking place September 21-30, is one of those cool festivals that is integrated throughout the city, and sort of woven into the fabric of an already-buzzing scene. With events taking place indoors and outdoors, in parks, performing arts centers, museums, and intimate clubs, it's a festival that can be experienced a little or a lot, depending on how you want to do it. I'd want to do a lot, but that's just me.
Artists that I would make sure to catch, were I headed that-a-way, would be Mali's Khaira Arby, Basque country's Oreka TX, Madagascar's Razia Said, and Brazil-by-way-of-Brooklyn's Nation Beat. If you're planning on attending the festival, who are you most looking forward to? If you can't attend, who do you wish you could see? Leave a comment and let us know 09/05/10
