Album Review
>>
Ozella music published already a few singer/songwriters who sing in the Norwegian language mostly and have a tasteful band to accompany them. Of course, we hardly understand a word, but still this is an album worth mentioning and giving attention to for its more universal recognisable musical qualities come out well. Besides, we still have the English translations included in a booklet. Musically it is all about tastefulness, in vocal expression and variations, in the smooth jazz (fusing) sensibility of the band, with good and smooth (brushed,..) percussion (Helge Andreas Norbakken), sax solos by Karl Seglem, besides some other arrangements by electric guitar, bass, piano, horns, trumpet, flugelhorn, cello and acoustic guitar (by multiple other musicians). The last two songs are in English, Still I think there’s a different and a bit more folk sensibility in the Swedish songs. 01/01/12
