Reggae music is, in my humble opinion, the most popular genre of music on planet earth. There is not a corner in this world one will go and not hear some local version of reggae. Fi real mon -- that irie vibe is everywhere. From Russia to Mississippi, and even China, reggae is well represented. Africa, in particular, is a huge reggae lover's land. So it is refreshing to have quality reggae music come outta Africa.
I was searching for new music on iTunes and I stumbled upon a wonderful work of art entitled Meditation by Nazarenes, a roots and culture reggae duo outta Ethiopia. The music is pure and lyrically impressive. With the mix of revolutionary appeal and calls for unity and love that reggae is known for, each song delivers thoughtful and inspirational vibes. Quality music - including two stand-out cuts with guests: The Jamaican star Lutan Fire (It's Too Late) and the popular band outta St. Croix Midnite (The Lord Said). (On iTunes & amazon.com)
