Khing Zin Shwe The Maha Gita was initiated since the time of ancient Myanmar monarchy, in the Inwa period, Nyaung period and Kone Baung Period. These classical Maha Gita Songs are dedicated to the kings and performed in the palace. The songs are about the power and glory of the ancient kings, the prosperity of the cities and also about the beauty of nature with jungles and forests. It also about the way of lives of the people in the olden days, so we can learn about Myanmar’s’ way of life then, their belief and customs.
I am proud of being a vocalist. I realize that the vocals is so deep in meaning and important. According to U-GONE-BAN, the Myanmar learned master… when a musician and a vocalist made a song together, it is the vocalist who gives the essence, the taste and flavour of the song to the audience through the lyrics, the meaning of the song.
Whether or not we have materials and possession, there is no issue which can make us troubled in mind... We are not rich but we have peace of mind.
Shwe Shwe Khaing The vocalist also need to share the same mood as the author. When I sing I do my best to have the right mood. Then only, the true taste of the song will be acquired. This is like sentimental poem, a longing song, a longing PAT-PYOO song... to sing that song tastefully you need to know what the author actually have in mind and the vocalist need to share it by having the right mood
