Sia Tolno is an artist from Guinea and Sierra Leone. She is rising to be a Queen of Afrobeat music as she gets ready to drop her album called “My Life” in september 19th. “My Life” the album is the true story of Sia's life. She shares the experience of a young woman who went through the war in Sierra Leone and lived as a refugee, later she was exiled to Guinea with dreams and projects to realize. Sia also talks about the difficulties she had as a women to break into the music industry in Africa. The album “My Life” is a cultural crossroad where African dialects such as Mende, Kissi, Susu meet creole and English. Madingo music is here blended with funk, rumba and forest chant. The 12 songs album was recorded in Guinean super star Mory Kante's studios in Conakry and arranged by Francois Breant, famous producer who also worked with Salif Keita.
The album includes the song Odju Watcha which Sia describes as a political song describing the depression of Africa and denouncing the people responsible for all the atrocities in the continent.
