Even though this is African music, you’ll notice an absence of the traditional percussion and drums. "We wanted to get people to hear other parts of African music," Ugandan-born American-based multi-instrumentalist Samite says. The album still retains the power and ability to make people dance. As humanitarian, Samite helps former child soldiers readjust to normal life through music. Proceeds from this CD go to Samite’s Musicians for World Harmony to bring the healing of music to distressed and displaced people in East Africa, including Uganda and Congo 08/10/12
