The French Institute Alliance Française is sponsoring a generous offering of concerts that show the breadth of musical creativity in Morocco, under the patronage of King Mohammed VI. One of them is classical: the young pianist Marouan Benabdallah (who has performed under the baton of Lorin Maazel) will be heard in a solo recital at Zankel Hall that features works by Rachmaninoff, Ravel, Nabil Benabdeljalil, and Saint-Saëns (“Africa”).
