Can you hear that slow-building beat rumbling through the streets? It doesn't matter whether you're downtown, over in the Design District, or holed up in the Grove. There's no avoiding it ... You can feel it in your feet, your knees, and your gut.
For the 13th year in a row, the Afro Roots World Music Festival will blast Miami with sounds from Africa, the Carribbean, and the Americas. The main event goes down this Saturday at 7th Circuit Studio with Haitian big band Boukman Eksperyans as well as Locos Por Juana and Rocky Dawuni, Spam Allstars and Papa Malick Faye, and Jahfe. But there's still six smaller satellite events, including the official kickoff bash, the Rumba Party, and the Festival of the Drum.
