When the producers of award-winning short film, "Help Wanted", a song needed to be included in one of the most powerful scenes of the majority of film, they chose a song called "Two Birds" CD title Cuchata Mixed Blood.
"Two Birds" was written by composer Marcelo Quinonez, who has composed and performed everything from the Latin Alternative Music to a wide variety of significant films, television, commercial and viral marketing campaigns. He is undiverso, multifaceted artist has the uncanny ability to create musical compositions that convey the mood, emotions and images.
But this is only part of his art: Marcelo has had great success in the genre of Latin alternative music with his band Cuchata, so it leads to have a wide variety of styles and sounds influenced by Nicaraguan heritage. "Help Wanted" won awards for best narrative feature film, best script and best director in the fifth Elevate Film Festival, held at the 7.100-seat Nokia Theatre LA Live in downtown Los Angeles. The film is a gripping story, sensitive, and high, is a story about two Mexican-American auto mechanic. The film had to follow the guidelines only Elevate: this short ten-minute and a half was made in seven days, just one more day to write the script.
"Help Wanted" was directed by Matt Guardino and Michael Lynch as director of photography and produced by Jamie Bullock, Michel Bayan, and Jay J. Francis DellaVecchia Milla, with the screenplay by Gabriel DellaVecchia. The film was written in one day, when they were looking for other places in the mismotiempo. It was filmed over three days in the auto repair center in Pacoima Daniel Fierro, in a private residence in Hollywood. The entire production was completed in four days, under the supervision of editor Ira Flowers.
The composer Marcelo Quiñonez grew up in the vicinity of Los Angeles, California. Since childhood, he was constantly surrounded by music by various parties and family gatherings conducted by his great Nicaraguan family. From 1995 to 1996, Marcelo study with Flamenco guitarist, Chris Carnes and was invited to International Mill Sweet Music Festival to accompany Chris and a variety of Flamenco and other Latin American groups. In 1999, Marcelo traveled to Nicaragua to study the culture, music, and their ancestral roots. That trip gave him the idea of creating life Cuchata, a dual band generoque launched in tribute to the varied and vibrant musical styles that come from the Latin American diaspora and boosts his career in the business of music.
Cuchata's music has been licensed for commercials, television shows and feature films.
